Our Story

A place where dreams come true.

Moose Lake Ranch started as a dream over dinner.

One January evening at a quiet tavern in Maine, my husband Dave and I were doing what we love most — dreaming about our future and setting goals for the new year. We had five kids, our youngest just four months old, and we had given ourselves one rule for the conversation: anything and everything was on the table.

Dave wanted a hunting property — acreage for ATVs, tree stands, the kind of deep quiet only the woods can give you. I wanted a lake house, something like the summers I'd spent on Lake Winnipesaukee in college, a place our family could gather and grow up around. We left dinner wondering if we could find both in one piece of Maine. It felt at least a decade away.

Four months later, we'd bought 138+ acres on Saturday Pond. A year after that, the lodge was finished. We named it Moose Lake Ranch.

We taught our kids to look up at the stars from the dock at night — to make a wish, to declare a dream, to say it out loud. Over the past two decades, we've watched that small ritual turn into a kind of magic. Dreams declared at this lake have a way of coming true.

Now we share it. Couples who get married here often say their vows under the same sky we grew up wishing on. Families come back year after year and watch their kids grow up on the same dock ours did. Companies arrive tense and leave talking like friends. The Ranch has a way of doing that to people.

If you've come here with a dream — for a wedding, a reunion, a quiet week away — we'd be honored to host it. And if you don't have one yet, come anyway. The stars over Saturday Pond are very good at handing them out.
