Hi friends! Sorry, I didn't update ya last week but I hit 2 months! And in 2 weeks it is transfers which is crazy it's gone by so fast. Here's a little run down of the past 2 weeks...

So I had an epiphany while walking in the streets last week, and this is for all my tanning bed lovers. The best way to describe the Senora sun is laying in a diamond (non-red light) tanning bed at minute 8. Right when your skin is feeling that intense burn and it's so hot you think you can't survive those last 2 minutes. Ya, that's what it's like.
Okay, I wanna give you a quick rundown of Marcos. So we were on the hunt for a reference and got lost, and couldn't find his address. Ended up in a random little gas station corner store. Decided to wait there until he texted back. 5 minutes into waiting and in walks a random guy. Hmn Nava asks if he is the guy we are looking for, and he responds yes. We were confused but were like oh well let's start teaching. 30 minutes into talking and this man is all in. He's pumped, and we're pumped, it was awesome. And then he drops the bomb... "I have to tell you something, I'm not the person you're looking for, I'm Marcos". UM, WHAT OKAY? We keep teaching and put him on date to be baptized!!
Now not to ruin the story but he was a scam. Turns out he just wanted money. Nevertheless, this taught me something important. When we put ourselves in a position to align our will with God, he will work his magic. This was also taught in conference, aligning our will with God. Hma Nava and I were literally lost yet we were in the exact place God needed us to be in. Even if Marcos just wanted money, maybe something in his heart sparked and down the road, he'll come to Christ. Or maybe he just needed someone to talk to. Either way trying to live in accordance with God's will is the way to blessings and miracles!!
