Survived another week of the heat ... let's go! This next week is supposed to be even hotter... 110° lol prayers up!
This week was much better yay! I did exchanges with an American which was literally the best day ever. I found joy in my labors haha. President doesn't usually allow two non-natives to be together he always wants a native with a white sister so this was super exciting for me. #englishallday I've never felt more love for America or English ever in my life! lol

Now that I've been here a little longer I've noticed more things to give you guys a glimpse into Hermosillo Mexico.... the telephone poll wires hang down so low that you always gotta keep ur head up to dodge them at any moment or else it could be fatal. The tint in everyone's car is completely black so you can't ever see anyone and it's kinda scary. The people speak very loudly so in every conversation you have it's like you're screaming but that's just normal. In my area the little kids have nothing to play with so they will just run up and down a dirt hill laughing their heads off, it's really cute and humbling. I've got bugs either in my bed or my clothes cause I keep finding new bites but I'm too lazy to investigate haha. The only thing you drink here is soda which I love trying all the different kinds and flavors, mostly fruit which is weird but yummy. 3 cartel members were caught this week but I couldn't tell you what happened because I didn't understand but that's good because I have no idea if I'm in danger or not so I'll just assume it's all fine!!
My comp and I found this awesome guy whose unfortunately an alcoholic but in the best Spanish I could I shared with him my knowledge of how the gospel is for everyone regardless of their circumstances and that coming unto Christ is what will heal him and his family. He somehow understood what I was saying and asked us to come back and teach him next week!! I was pumped!! I finally felt like I could make a difference even with the little Spanish I knew.

Sorry, this email is pretty long, but here's a thought to end it. I share this scripture with everyone we teach because it's my favorite (and mainly because it's the only thing I have memorized) it's a great reminder to me and can be to you too.
Ether 12:12 "For if there be no faith among the children of men God can do no miracle among them; wherefore, he showed not himself until after their faith". Continue to always put ALL your faith in God and he promises to bring you a miracle. We can't be discouraged, instead we must trust. Elder Holland teaches that the gospel of Jesus Christ is comforting but not always comfortable. Be faithful and watch as God gives you a miracle.
Love everyone who's reading this!!!!!!
Lots of love,
Hermana Steuer
