Hi, this week was crazyyyy I feel like so much happened.
ISAAC AND NAYDELIN GOT BAPTIZEDDDDD LFG!
Their baptism was so cutie and they were both so excited all week, my heart was dying. I literally feel like Isaac is my little brother. Like pulling my hair, twisting and pulling my fingers in sacrament, deleting shiz on my phone, just completely messing with me but in the most sibling love kinda way. And then ofc there's Naydelin who's literally an angel and is just perfect. Couldn't be more opposite. Something happened with the water heater in the church, so the font was freezing but they were such troopers. Isaac went first and then after his sister he jumped back in and started swimming. I'm sorry I was laughing so hard. Like ik that's bad but it's just so something Isaac would do.
Okay, but seriously don't have words to express how cool missions are and God's placement. When I met Isaac, our whole day had basically fallen through and we were just walking to random places not sure what to do with no real plans. I accidentally led us the wrong way (to a horribly steep hill) but because of that, we met a group of little kids. One of them being Isaac. We didn't have contact information for Isaac, but we kept going back to that street (horribly steep with evil dogs - one who peed on Marquez) and one day ran back into him and Naydelin, put them on date, and went back every day after that. It was so cute, they would always be outside waiting for us the next day at the time we scheduled. When it came time for the parent signature, they were BEGGING their mom. She couldn't say no.
Andddd.. this street is like our miracle street because we also ran into Liam, Manual, Matao, and Alison. When we went to their house and met their mom, turns out she was baptized 3 years ago in a different city but is inactive. So not only were we in the right place to meet the kids, but also help the mom respark her faith and start coming to church again. She said the sweetest prayer this week that she knows the gospel is true and wants her kids to be baptized and is grateful we met them. The kids came to church this Sunday with us and are excited to get baptized next Sunday!!! God is real and present in the work leading us where we need to be. Even if that means canceling appointments just so that we will end up on steep hills. #nosuchthingascoincidences #diosadencia
Here's some fun week highlights
- walked past a dude taking a poop on the side of the road. Just full pants down and everything.
- Maruqez during the middle of my prayer in English just goes "amen". Like that's one way to get your comp to end a prayer. No, but actually it was the funniest thing ever. We were laughing so hard and she kept trying to say "your prayer was so beautiful" I'm like girl clearly you didn't understand it HAHA.
- Isaac and Naydelin's friend post lesson asked us if she could get baptized. Talk about missionary fail, not inviting her ourselves. But how cute is that??
- Drugged up dude screaming outside of the Guadalajara. Actually scared the crap out of me for like 15 minutes.
- Played soccer with the boys and lmk why it was the funnest thing I've ever done. Like a highlight of the mish. I seriously couldnt keep up with them Joshua was like nutmegging me idek it was bad guys but so freaking fun. Aurelio and I dominated tho we made a great team️.

- Since literally is probably my favorite word, thought I should start using it in Spanish. I now use literalmente in lessons lol I have a problem. But I love it.
