Happy birthday dad!!

Writer: Sophia SteuerSophia Steuer

Emmanuel and Mateo got baptized on Sunday!!!!! Picture the cutest smile ever because that's what the boys looked like the whole time. Every day we went to their house this week and would say we would be back tomorrow, they would respond with "Yay I'm getting baptized tomorrow" like they couldn't understand it was Sunday haha but seriously cutest thing ever. We had a cake and decorated it with their favorite colors. The water was freezing again (it was a miracle we even had water tho) and watching the boys' faces as they came out of the water is also something I'll never forget, I was laughing out loud. But in all seriousness my heart is full and I just love this miracle family. God is good. Families are forever and this gospel is joy!

Week highlights

- got proposed to. "We can leave for Sinaloa tomorrow!! I promise you'll never lack frioles or tortillas!" Like okay, deal!!!

- got peed on. ON THE SAME FREAKING STREET AS MARQUEZ. I'm telling you guys this street has EVIL dogs. We didn't have time to go back to the house so I just rocked dog pee on my skirt all-day

- was sitting on the curb and Alison and Emmanuel ran up to us bringing two sodas one for me and one for Marquez. Tears just started rolling down my face because my heart couldn't handle it. The idea that this family who has no money bought me a soda seriously brought me to tears.

- Intercambios back to back. A tired brain, and constant headaches, but revelation received and growth

- dramatic sisters = lz at our house at 11 pm with the whole drama in the streets searching for "missing sisters". They were in the house down the street. #workingonkindnessandlovingothers

This week kinda felt hard to me with a throbbing head at the end of the day. I'm kinda glad to have it behind me. Not even sure why cause we had tons of success but that's just mission life. Your best and worst all in one day.

But nontheless we keep pressing forward because theres more work to be done and love to give. Right now my biggest problem is I'm running out of dresses I haven't used for a baptism. I would say out of all the problems one could have... this is a good one.

Lots of love,

Hermana Steuer
